10 min from AeschiThe pyramid-shaped mountain of Niesen is quite impressive from a distance. On the summit you can take in amazing views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and countless other mountains, and the glittering Lake Thun.
After a half hour train ride or several hours hiking, the Niesen, at 2,362 m above sea level offers incredible views in all directions. The views stretch over the imposing Bernese alps, the lakes of Thun and Brienz, the Bernese midlands, and as far as the Jura. For small visitors, there is a fun playground available, known as the „Niese-Dörfli“ (Niesen Village).
