winter sports As soon as the first winter snow falls, Aeschi is transformed into a fairy tale landscape. 35 km of cross-country ski tracks will lead you through the wild and romantic nature reserve in the Suld Valley along the Suld River. 22 km of prepared winter walking trails offer a wonderful view of lake and mountains, and on the sledding hill young and old can enjoy themselves in the sun. Skiers, who hate queues and do not want to drive long distances on congested winter roads, find a perfect solution in our small skiing area. Three easy to moderately difficult runs with fantastic views of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains are found just south of the village of Aeschi. If you are a little unsure of yourself on skis, experienced teachers of the Swiss Snow Sport School will gladly help you improve your skiing skills. Instruction is offered in small groups or in private lessons. Alternatives On inclement days, when one would prefer staying under the covers, the indoor program is waiting. Refresh and relax yourself at our indoor swimming pool with thermal bath, with a steam bath or a massage. Museum or castle visits are welcome alternatives.
